Our venue is located in Mill Spring, NC. Around the town (pending recovery efforts!), there is plenty to explore and do! We’ve detailed some of the options below.
Chimney Rock State Park
Located less than 20 minutes away from Serenity Ridge, the park is a nature lover’s paradise with a collaboration of spectacular views and incredible hiking trails. It’s also one of the first trips we took together in 2018! *pending storm restoration!
Lake Lure
A beautiful lakeside area with restaurants and sightseeing (fun fact: Dirty Dancing was filmed here! Macie has not seen it, please don’t ask)

Buffalo Creek Park
Located on the rugged and remote slopes of Weed Patch Mountain near the head of the Hickory Nut Gorge and Lake Lure, Buffalo Creek Park features more than 12 miles of hiking and mountain biking, front country, and backcountry trails so that visitors may explore its scenic, natural splendor.

Tucked away in a leafy forest of oaks, maples, hemlock and pine, Sierra Nevada Mills River is a breath of fresh mountain air. A stone’s throw from the banks of the French Broad River, one of the world’s oldest and most picturesque rivers. There are tours, a restaurant and a beautiful outdoor area!
Overmountain Vineyards
A family-run winery situated on 70-acres in the Tryon Foothills of Polk County, NC.
Winemakers Frank Lilly and his daughter Sofia create handcrafted and distinctive French-style wines primarily from 18 acres of their own estate-grown fruit.
